Chittagong: Where Nature And Memories Intertwine
Chittagong is a place full of greenery and tranquility. The chirping of birds among the green trees of different shades makes the place charming. The cobalt sky with different colors of butterflies flying around me, when I go out for a walk, fills my heart with positive vibes.
During monsoon season, the soothing sound of rain attracts me to a hot cup of coffee with biscuits on my balcony. I love reading my favorite book “ Harry Potter “, a story full of mysterious occurrences which takes you to their world named Hogwarts.
As winter arrives, playing badminton under such an alluring nature with my cousins gives me a sense of vitality. Although I will never forget those scolds that we all used to get from our elders for playing till sunset, this will be something we will forever remember.
The winter evening gives a different view, with groups of uncles sitting in front of the fire and busy with their gossiping. Whenever I go out for cycling, I feel the freezing wind passing through me which makes me feel pleasing.
How can I forget the Pitha that my grandmother used to make for us every winter? The Pitha was made up of rice with coconut fillings. When she used to feed me with her hand, it became much more delicious. I cannot deny saying, "She has magic in her hands “.
I do remember going up high on a mountain with my cousins near my house. At first, we were quite scared as the place was eerie. But my younger brother, who was curious to see the view high up the mountain insisted on us moving on, and by and by, we reached the top.
The scenery was beguiling, with birds of different kinds flying through the fetching clouds. I felt absorbing the most fresh breath ever. We took lots of snapshots to make the day memorable if I could describe the place in one word then it would be “ Idyllic “.
Here comes another day, when we all went to Karnafuli underwater tunnel. Inside, it did not even feel like we were at such a depth underwater, we indeed had some hydro acoustic sounds. The lighting inside was lovely.
The fun part was when my five-year-old brother squeezed his nose as he was told that we were under the water, so water would get inside his nose.
Since it was our last day in Chittagong, so we all had a family dinner outside, played lots of games and made it much more ravishing. Of course, those were some last memories with my old grandfather.
Chittagong has my heart, it is a place full of fantasy for me, and some golden memories that we will forever cherish. I would love to visit the place again and again or I wish I could stay there forever.
